In your opinion, is the knowledge of how to give life worth Frankenstein's efforts? What kind of effect would it have on society if it became a common medical practice to give or restore life?

If it was a regular practice to restore life, wouldn't that trump religion, and scientists would play the "God" role.
The effect of "life restoration" on society would be nothing short of earth shaking. Not only could a human being live for unimaginable amounts of time, but as a result overpopulation might become a problem. According to Encarta, there is 1 baby born every three seconds... Thats 20 babies a minute... Thats 1,200 babies born an hour... Thats 28,800 babies a DAY... and so on... If people weren't dying as a result of this "life restoration"... then we'd be too crammed full of oxygen breathing meat bags to survive... not enough natural resources to go around...
I agree, not to mention it was accepted in the scientific world that the Earth had reached its safe population limit somewhere in the vicinity of 1984 (No joke).
I believe it wasn't worth his efforts. As we see, the monster didn't turn out to his liking. He spent so much time trying to create life, only to be let down by how the life he created turned out.....As to the restoration of life question, I personally think that would lead to the downfall of mankind as we know it.
whether or not its right its crazy. in the book he is doing this in the 1700's. this is a time when people still believed that all sickness was just an unbalance of the "4 basic body fluids." not to mention the fact that the medical tools at this time aren't quite up to snuff. it shouldn't come as any shock that he wont get the result he wanted.
come on...talk about controversy...life restoration is ridiculous and won't happen...death is an important part of life and it will always be that way...not to mention the huge overpopulation that would occur

Let's populate the moon... and Mars... then this whole overpopulation thing wouldn't be such a big idea... eh?

I meant not a "big deal"...
Not "big idea"... lol
the world would become so overpopulated with life restoration. If they would allow that we might as well move to the moon and mars.
i think life restoration is stupid. there should be life then death the end.
Are there any good uses for this knowledge?
