What if SHE found him repulsive

Is the Monster as guilty as VF in simply assuming that anything VF creates will love him? he wants free will, but does he allow his potential bride any?

Just HOW BIG is VF's EGO!!!

What about that scene where VF is thinking about how distraught Elizabeth would be if he were to be killed on their wedding night....geesh...do you think it has ever occured to him that he is not the only one at risk here? Grow up, Victor!

What would you do?

Put yourself in Frankenstein's position in chapter 17. How would you react to the monster's request? Would you refuse or fulfill the request? Why?

Religion aside...

Why is the Monster such an abomination? What is the humane solution of dealing with this living, intelligent creature? And who is really to blame in his creation? Frankenstein or society?

Nature or nuture

The Monster doesn't like wine, tries to help the family, and feels empathy; yet he killed William. Now--are people BORN evil, BORN good, or made that way?

Plurality of Questionnaires

Is there a problem with playing God?
Is there a problem with perfecting a child you want to have?
If you do perfect it, then why is it not considered your child and instead a creation of science?
Is what Victor Frankenstein did morally wrong? (Making the monster)

...eh?

It lives...but...

Who is Haans Delbrooke?

In the movie Young Frankenstein Frederick tells Igor to go get the brain of Haans Delbrooke and of course he screws up and brings back an "abnormal brain." Is Haans Delbrooke a real person or just a character in the movie? Does anyone else even know what I'm talking about?

REJECTED!!!

Wait! Viktor has been waiting, working, wishing for this moment since he arrived in Geneva...and now, at the climax of his success he runs away? What happened?

Is it worth it?

In your opinion, is the knowledge of how to give life worth Frankenstein's efforts? What kind of effect would it have on society if it became a common medical practice to give or restore life?

About that albatross...

Take a CLOSE look at how the mariner dealt with his albatross. Have any of you ever heard the saying, "He has an albatross around his neck?" Hmmm...anybody wearing any birds around their necks? This is NOT a literal question.

Walton and V. Frankenstein

You have read "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and you have completed Walton's letters. Now, do you see parallels? Who is the bridegroom? What about the albatross?
